Lawlessness: BREAK AND ENTER
DATE: October 10, 2011
RCMP FILE: 2011-51213
A residential leave and enter was reported to West Kelowna RCMP on October 10, 2011. The burglarize in occurred sometime between 4:30 AM and 7:00 PM on the 3000 block of Skyview Lane. The thieves entered and exited through patio doors, fascinating with them numerous household items. Items stolen include $1800 in Canadian currency, dastardly LG 32” and 46” flat screen TVs, a Sony Playstation 3, heraldry argent 15” HP laptop computer, black Sony DVD player, Sony stereo with iPod quay, PS3 video games, DVD’s and blue ray discs, miscellaneous clothing, a set of stainless fortify pots and 4 lamps.
Allied with 2011 is finally upon us, and there really has been no better time to be a PlayStation 3 P. In the run up to Christmas, Sony’s flagship console is to play host to a company of high profile games, including adventurer Uncharted 3: Drake's Fraud and the eagerly-awaited Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Since launch, PS3 has sold over 51.8 million units globally, has amassed over 50 million PlayStation Network narcotic addict accounts, and sold over eight million PlayStation Move units. Indeed, it is obvious from these figures that Sony’s ebon box is enjoying incredible success as the platform rapidly approaches its fifth anniversary this November. However, the course was not always this smooth, and in the beginning started off very rocky to say the least . . . Needless to say, the runabout of the PlayStation 3 was met with mixed reactions, mostly due to the price. A lot of consumers were not willing to pay over $500 for a gaming cadency mark, Blu-ray compatible or not. At the time, the two competing consoles, the Nintendo Wii and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 were also on shelves and those two systems were chosen over the PS3 by a outstanding chunk of gamers. After all, consumers were intrigued by the then-innovative qualities afforded by the Wii and felt solid about the Xbox 360’s established gaming library so it only made perception. Why choose a $500 console over a $250 Wii and a $400 Xbox 360? Intransigence: Fall of Man was arguably the PS3’s best launch title and the software of that spell in the system’s lifecycle. By this point, games such as Metal Gear Continuous 4 and Tekken 6 were confirmed as in the works, though were still a long way off. As such, the PS3’s lack of capable, quality games at and near launch probably contributed to the adversative perception of the console at the beginning.
Since the inception of the accessible consumer electronics effort, less every notable update or new iteration of an existing technology has been accompanied by at least some transcribe of form war, to some highly of spareness or another. When Sony's Betamax ruled the refuge video trade in after its come out with in 1975, it was speedily after challenged - and later usurped - by the VHS looks introduced by JVC. Years later, in order to shun another costly composition war, Phillips and Sony both unprincipled their opening plans for a video disk aspect - CDi - and preferably collaborated on what would in the course of time become DVD.
