A Collins Stewart analyst cut his rating for Dolby Laboratories Friday after the relaxation technology company revealed that one of its key software programs won't be included in Microsoft Windows 8.

"While we expect that integrated software vendor revenue of about $80 million will likely strengthen, as personal computer original equipment manufacturers will still provide a DVD player on personal computers, we accept this event will become an overhang on the stock and pose headwinds to growth," analyst John Vinh wrote.
